Everything Has Purpose

D19183F3-B33C-4143-96E4-CD083CC36107I have deduced that Spring is my favorite Season!  For years, I have stated Fall is my season of choice, as I enjoy the vivid colors in the trees (albeit, it is short lasting), and the temperatures drop to a more bearable degree, from the sweltering summer heat and humidity.

However, I find I would rather mow yard than rake leaves!

This morning was like Spring weather and the fragrance that wafted through my windows early was that of a Spring morning.  Everything awakening to the dawn.

Reality is:   All of creation is preparing for slumber during the cold and wet season.  I was watching the leaves fall from their safe haven in the trees.  The very home that gave them life and purpose, which is now itself preparing for its long slumber in sheer nakedness for the winter, is releasing it’s own life source of sap to its roots.  No longer do they have the nourishment from the very creation that formed them; no longer able to take in and filter the carbon dioxide, thusly, creating a clean oxygen for our lungs.  They know their purpose.  They fall randomly to the earth, knowing they will bring nourishment back to the soil, plants, and trees yet to come to life in the soon coming Spring.

They shall be munched by the mowers!!

Fall has its purpose, just as Spring, Winter and Summer.

Everything has a purpose.  EVERYTHING!  This  brings to mind the very words of King Solomon, the wisest King ever to live:

For everything there is a season, a right time for every intention under heaven — Ecclesiastes 3

Blessed be the Name of my Lord, my ADONAI — The GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; The GOD of Israel!

Surely, if ELOHIM, the Creator of ALL things, has given purpose to nature itself, what do you think our purpose is, being we are created by the very same Creator?

INTRODUCTION/IDENTITY

FB_IMG_1490353931827.jpg

Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Sharri.  The pronunciation of my name is Shah – rhee.  Most folks who know me or see my name pronounce it Sheh – Rhee.  Since I learned the original pronunciation of my name I fell in love with it. It rang true with who I am and to Whom I belong.

There is so much to the name we are given and carry throughout our lives. During one of my visits to Jerusalem, I was told that my name means ‘girl singing at the gate of ELOHIM’ as well as ‘keeper of the plain of Sharon (in the Holy Land)’. The Plain of Sharon (Hebrew – Ha-sharon) section of the Mediterranean coastal plain, and the most densely settled of Israel’s natural regions. Triangular in shape, 55 miles north-to-south from the beach at Mount Carmel to the Yarqon River at Tel Aviv-Yafo. ISRAEL! This is extremely fertile coastal plain, filled with lush flowers and greenery.

Bear with me as I journey on this path of identifying myself to you; this will take us to a place of great openness and vulnerablity on my part. This blog is not created to be about me. It shall be a journey revealing Who my Shepherd, my Master, my Best Friend is. Plus, I will be sharing a bit of the Hebrew language/meaning, culture and understanding as we walk this path together.

I am independent (which serves me well under peer-pressure), considered to have excellent leadership with ambition, creativity (just learned of this ability while studying in Kona, HI last fall!), an inventive side as well as strong willed. I am known to be a visionary, socially conscious (LOL…I will expound on that one someday!), unique in solving problems, compassionate, generous and idealistic.
I am geared to the non-profit arena; love to teach as well as have fun with cameras. Well, as for photography, it is strictly that…just fun, as I have not mastered the technology!
I have a driving passion for the youth, as well as women, for you see, my history will tell of the prodigal daughter chapters of my life. Albeit, I am who I am today only by the saving grace of my Faithful One, MESSIAH YESHUA!

These are the good qualities that Creator weaved into my make-up as He formed me in my mother’s womb. I dare say, I have negative aspects about me as well.
As you continue with me in this journey, you will note that I can be temperately outspoken. Sigh. Okay. Not temperately. Yet, I can be outspoken… and I am allowing Holy Spirit to shape and mold me there to be more pleasing to Father.

Let me ask you…do you think that I lived my life utilizing all these qualities I have listed? Do you think I could tell you that I had my identity in these adjectives?

I used to write frequently. I stopped for a season…many seasons. Holy Spirit has been speaking to me for quite some time to go back to my writing, for it is Him that has something to say. As friends and family have also encouraged me to write, I can recall telling them, ‘who wants to read about yet someone else’s life? I am just another story.’

Well, here I am. But I am called to tell my story within His story!

Come along! I am excited to see where He takes us. Until next time, be richly blessed and know you are loved by the One True God, our Creator, Elohim.
